This was a great example to use as this can happen in health care settings all the time. Being empathetic with the patient and listening to their concerns while staying calm can be so helpful when trying to do care. Great job guys!

Strong message and good job guys! Great acting too! Patience is an important aspect of empathy, and we must take time to understand why people are acting the way they are. “Empathy is not an endorsement” – a good mantra. Just because you’re empathetic doesn’t mean that you agree.

Great job! I really enjoyed that you included a skit demonstrating a situation that will likely occur in a care setting and it showed why it’s important to be patient while treating those in our care. You did a great job defining empathy and differentiating it from other emotional skills, such as compassion and sympathy. Lastly, I thought it was very beneficial that you wrapped up the presentation with three takeaway points.

This video was great! You guys were very engaging and the information presented was in a very organized manner and the summary at the end was great in making the information sink! Patience is an extremely important communication skill and I’m glad you guys touched on this.

This video and storyline are great. Trying to get a patients point of view and back story is very important which requires an empathetic person, and we think this video presents this very well.
